The slot grid your game needs and the bag panel you didn't want to write. This Lite tier is the data layer - add, remove, check, count. Wire your own UI; we hand you the signals.
If you want a drop-in `InventoryUI`, drag-and-drop slots, hotbars, tooltips, weight + category enforcement, themes, and cross-system save/quest/vendor integration — see the **Pro tier**. Both tiers share the same item Resource field names so upgrading is a copy-paste.

- `ItemLite` Resource - id, name, icon, category, max_stack, metadata.
- `InventoryLite` Node - add/remove/has/count, capacity by slot count, stack merging by id + max_stack.
- Signals: `contents_changed`, `item_added`, `item_removed`, `slot_full`.
- `snapshot()` / `restore(data)` for your own save layer.
- Demo: 3 items, capacity 6, +1 / -1 buttons, live list.
